Welcome to the official website of The Hawkins Family!

The Hawkins Family known by two generations of Arkansas folks for their appearances at revivals, benefits, concerts, singing conventions, homecomings, and county fairs, continue to use music to share the true meaning of the cross and the joys of a Christian life. They are lifetime residents of Hot Springs and have been active in gospel music for over 50 years. Their reason for singing today is the same as when they began — to tell the world that Somebody loves them and His name is Jesus.

For many years they produced weekly radio programs and summer concerts at the Arlington Park in downtown Hot Springs. The group has recorded many projects through the years. Today, they share the warmth and sincerity of their desire to further the cause of Christ by opening their peaceful home at Hickory Hill to all who appreciate the beauty of voices lifted in praise.

The group is a member of the Texas Gospel Music Artists Association and was awarded the 2008 LEGEND AWARD for their 50 years of gospel music ministry. They are also members of the Four States Gospel Music Association. In addition to their own website they are featured artists on other websites which include HeavenSound, Smoky Mountain Gospel Music, Gospel Gigs and GospelOK.

 What is Gospel Music?

Gospel music is mostly written by dedicated Christians who have a message to relate. These writers and composers are people like you and I. They have trials, tribulations, sorrow, disappointments, grief, and pain. They have laughter, excitement, joy, peace, contentment, dreams, and fulfillment. So you see these writers and composers are you and I with a message to tell or to sing. I heard Jimmy Davis sing a song about his memories, I heard the Hemphills sing about peace, I heard the Blackwoods sing about a real God, I heard the Americans sing about a dream, I even heard the Cathedrals sing about laughter. Gospel music is about life and man's struggle to live it. So sit back, relax, and enjoy God's great message to you and I...this is Gospel Music.
